They will take you to their homes so you can settle in and have lunch. In the afternoon, they will also take you to the meeting place for the (optional) walk to the highest point on the island (the Pachatata temple) located at 4150 M.A.S.L., 13,600 feet. At night, the families organize a party for their visitors. They will also provide them with the typical island costume to participate in the party. This activity is “optional.” The next day, after breakfast, the families will take you to the port to say goodbye and then head out to Taquile Island. The last place you will visit will be Taquile Island, “the best weavers in Peru.” On the island, you will enjoy a pleasant walk. During this walk, you will visit the main square, which is at 3,950 M.A.S.L., 12,960 feet. You will have free time to visit the craft shops. and see the island's textiles, you will also visit a local family where you will learn a little about Taquile and its people, after this you will continue the walk to the second port of the island and return to the city of Puno, ending the tour at approximately 3:30 pm.
